Tom Cruise has to be one of the most famous of celeb heroes! In 1996, after witnessing a hit-and-run accident, he got an ambulance and paid for the victim's $7,000 emergency room bill when he found out the lady wasn't insured. That same exact year, Tom carried two young boys to safety when he saw them getting crushed against the barricades in a gaggle of fans at the UK premiere of Mission: Impossible. Then, in 1998, he stopped a mugging in progress by chasing away the attackers with the help of his bodyguards. Mission: Possible!
