Why Did Reese Witherspoon Diss Justin Bieber?

We can't imagine that Reese Witherspoon has a mean bone in her body. The 35-year-old actress and mother of two is nothing short of a southern sweetheart. So why was she caught dissing teen sensation Justin Bieber? Reese sat down with MTV in a recent interview that was released Thursday, February 2nd. When asked what she thought about rumors that the 17-year-old popstar might star in a remake of her and Mark Wahlberg's 1994 thriller Fear, Reese seemed to be caught off-guard.

"Fine. Great. That would be cool," she said. "Would he be playing me or Mark Wahlberg?"

Wow! It seemed that Reese realized her dig may have been a little too much and continued to clarify that it would be believable if the storyline involved a crazy fan after him. Despite her remark, she went on to reveal she's a fan of the Biebs.

"He's very talented," she said. "I didn't know much about him until I saw the documentary ["Never Say Never"] and I thought that was really worthwhile and worth seeing, and it made me think, 'What a sweetheart.'"

Good save! It's cool Reese - we can't see the Biebs as a psychotic stalker boyfriend either!
