With a brand new, highly anticipated second season of X Factor premiering tonight, all eyes are on new judges Demi Lovato and Britney Spears - especially the latter! It's no secret that the 30-year-old pop star's personal life has gone through many pitfalls, specifically in the last five years. However, Britney seems to be pulling her life and career back on track, with her new gig as an X-Factor judge. But how will she fare? Simon Cowell recently revealed what to expect from Britney on X Factor's second season. "She's mean... she says no to everyone," he said.

Interesting choice of words, coming from a man who is notorious for giving "mean" feedback to contestants, but is Britney, who has been subject to equally cruel comments over the years, really capable of being mean herself?

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest Sept. 12th, Britney defended herself against Simon's words, calling herself a "happy honest judge... I use constructive criticism and I'm honest and I would want to know, you know."
