Ashlee Simpson Says Hello Again To The Single Life

2012 has been pretty good to Ashlee Simpson. The 28-year-old has just released a new single and launched a teen fashion line with big sis Jessica Simpson and even found time to plan a mega-cool superhero birthday party for her son  Bronx Mowgli!

Unfortunately for Ash, the year is ending with one major downer. After a year and a half of dating, Ashlee and boyfriend, Boardwalk Empire star Vincent Piazza have decided to call it quits.

A source close to the couple told Us Weekly it wasn't a nasty break up. 

"There was no bad blood and no third party involved," the source said. "It was honestly just a long distance relationship and it became too hard to make it work. It's not necessarily forever and they could get back together. Nobody is to blame. Just the distance."
