It's no secret that Lindsay Lohan is one incredibly troubled star. The former child star-turned-Hollywood starlet has become the walking punchline for numerous media headlines stemming from her constant legal troubles and most recently, her performance in the Lifetime movie, Liz & Dick. With her latest run-in with the law for allegedly assaulting a woman in a club on November 29th, not many people are on her side - except for one celebrity: Demi Lovato!
The X Factor judge took to Twitter to come to Lindsay's defense. Her message? Back off!
"I really wish we could go back in time when artists were known for their work. Not their personal lives," Demi tweeted.
Not one to keep his opinions to himself, celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton challenged Demi's defense: "Do you really think [Lindsay] wants the media to not write about her? She needs attention and creates drama to get it."
Demi responded to Perez, saying, "The media (not just you) don't realize when you need to stop. This isn't a headline for your readers. This is someone's life."
Do you agree with Demi's defense of Lindsay or do you think Perez has a point?
