HOLD UP! James Franco Deleted His Twitter

If your Twitter timeline seemed absent of random photos and status updates, it's because James Franco deleted you - by deleting his Twitter, that is.

That's right. James, everyone's favorite (and frequent!) celeb tweeter, deleted his Twitter account this weekend. The Your Highness actor joined the social networking site earlier this year and attracted plenty of attention with his Tweets. 

His last tweet? A photo of himself surrounded by a group of naked dancing women on the set of his new short film with Kids writer Harmony Korine.

But it wasn't all James' idea to delete Twitter. 

"My thought was 'This is my Twitter'. I can do whatever I want. But certain companies I work with contacted me about what I was saying… Social media is over. Still up there. Going down. You heard it here first," he told Politico just days before leaving Twitterverse. 

Sad. Gonna miss James' snarky responses to Yale newswriters and digs at Oscar joke writers. Who made you leave Twitter, James?!
